Perpetually battles against poorly adhered to standards and closed systems. We're proud to make crucial parts of our infrastructure open-source. We're also committed to using our archiving technology for non-profit purposes.
Using the same technology trusted by our Fortune 100 customers, Perpetually is archiving every official website of every politician in Congress. After launching a public beta in 2010 with national media coverage, we are committed to opening up, growing and maintaining this database for free.
Norc is Perpetually's task scheduling and queueing system. It provides scheduling, log management, error reporting, distributed processing and queueing. Written in Django+Python, Norc can be administered from the command-line or a built-in web interface. Norc was initially developed by Max Bogue and Darrell Silver.
Immutable DB is Perpetually's archival storage backbone. Uniquely suited for storing write-once-read-many data (such as Perpetually's web archives) Immutable DB allows Perpetually to integrate quickly and seamlessly with any eDiscovery platform in a forensically sound way. The project was designed and developed by Paddy Mullen.
Lincoln allows Perpetually to log and monitor errors in a scalable way across its entire archiving backend. Lincoln provides a python interface for programmers to report info, warning or error messages as well as a web-based frontend that helps administrators prioritize issues in the system. Lincoln was designed by Paddy Mullen and Darrell Silver, and developed by Max Bogue.
